Food

We pride ourselves on our 'home made' food. We have at least one fish dish and one vegetarian dish on the Specials Menu every day. The menu is 'good value pub food' ranging from snacks and light bites, sandwiches, ploughman's and salads to main meals and a 'specials' that changes daily.

The food is fresh and prepared to order, offering good quality at great prices. Wherever possible our food is locally produced, our lamb, beef and eggs come from local farms; the majority of our fruit and vegetables come from a supplier in Hailsham, who grows a lot himself during the appropriate seasons and buys from further a field things he cannot produce himself, but we are now growing some of our vegetables and fresh herbs.

Many meals are suitable for children or those with a small appetite and are, of course, a fraction of the main meal price.

We are open to suggestions, and try to accommodate 'off menu' choices, so if you don't see something you like, please ask, and we will try to arrange it for your next visit!
