Macmillan Coffee Morning

I should like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to everyone who donated cakes, raffles prizes and came along to our Macmillan Coffee Morning. We probably had around 30-40 people who came along to help and just enjoy the social event and are very pleased and proud to be able to announce that we raised £255 - £81 came from the raffle; £37 from the sale of cakes and £137 generously donated. Unfortunately, everyone seems to know someone who has been affected by cancer and we are very proud to be able to help research into this terrible disease and I am convinced that no matter how much you are able to donate, every penny really does count.

Other good causes

Many of our events have been held with a view to 'thanking' those customers who have supported us since our arrival. A lot, however, have raised money for charity and local good causes. In fact we have donated over £6,000 since 2005.

Beneficiaries include The Royal British Legion, AGAPE, Wooden Spoon, the local Information Centre and many more. We will continue to raise money for local good causes and hope that we continue to get plenty of support.
